WHITE PLAINS, NY (October 10, 2017) Mast-Jägermeister U.S. (MJUS), importers of one of the world’s best-selling, iconic herbal liqueurs produced in Germany, recently celebrated the opening of its new 30,000-square-foot headquarters located on the 9th floor at 10 Bank Street, White Plains.
For White Plains-based Scully Construction LLC, one of the leading providers of construction services in the tri-state area, the project continues the company’s tradition of helping prestigious clients in the educational, corporate, retail, healthcare and hospitality sectors turn their visions into reality and do so on a tight timeline. “We completed building out the bold new space in nine weeks to meet the client’s deadline for relocating from its former headquarters in New Rochelle,” said Jim Scully Jr., a partner in the 36-year-old construction firm.
The vision for MJUS’s new headquarters was to create a new, exciting streamlined open work space that would foster innovation and creativity among the 65 employees. For the past 30 years, the New Rochelle headquarters— formerly the Sidney Frank Importing subsidiary of the German company—operated out of three floors at 20 Cedar Street.
In addition to consolidating all operations on a single floor, improving efficiency and employee interaction was one of the primary goals in planning the space for the company’s new home.
In close collaboration with consultants Bavier Design, Stantec Engineering and the MJUS project team, Scully’s team of professionals executed exacting specifications to create a mix of private offices, board room, wellness room, IT room, meeting areas, game areas and a Town Hall meeting space complete with a custom built bar to showcase the company’s renowned liqueur. Jägermeister’s secret recipe created by Curt Mast in 1934, consists of 56 natural herbs, blossoms, roots and fruits.
“This relocation marks an exciting new chapter for Jägermeister,” says Jeff Popkin, CEO of MJUS. “The new office space supports a brand-led culture of collaboration and engagement and provides opportunities to do inspiring work so that we can continue to grow our beloved Jagermeister brand.”
He also noted that the successful completion of the project on time is attributable to the “seamless cooperation and teamwork between Scully, Bavier Design, Stantec and our corporate team. Everyone took great pride in ensuring that our new office would be a transformational workspace for our people.”
Scully said it was an honor to leverage his company’s professionalism, quality workmanship, attention to detail and adherence to a demanding schedule to help create a “strikingly distinctive American headquarters that pays homage to the parent company’s rich legacy and to do so in ways that exceeded our client’s expectations”
MJUS is the latest firm to join Scully’s roster of valued clients. Other recent projects include a new 55,000 square foot dormitory building for EF Academy (EFA) in Thornwood, NY and a state-of-the-art dialysis treatment center for The Rogosin Institute (a division of New York-Presbyterian Hospital), located in Brooklyn.
About Jägermeister
Introduced 80 years ago, Jägermeister, German for "Master Hunter," is the #1 selling imported liqueur in the United States. Ranked 8th by Impact International's definitive Top 100 Premium Spirit Brands, this herbal liqueur is one of the most successful premium brands worldwide and available in 129 countries around the world. The iconic taste of Jägermeister is not left to chance but is due to decades of experience, a safely guarded secret recipe consisting of 56 natural herbs, blossoms, roots and fruits including star anise, cardamom, cinnamon and ginger roots, and 383 quality checks. The botanical ingredients are extracted in their raw, unprocessed form through a gentle, weeks-long process of cold maceration to create Jägermeister's base. The base, housed in more than 400 oak casks, then "breathes" for one full year, which is key to creating the complex and balanced flavor of Jägermeister's legendary taste profile. Jägermeister Liqueur is 35% Alc./Vol. and imported exclusively by Mast-Jagermeister US, Inc., White Plains, NY.
