Scully Construction Provides Meals To Health Care Workers

The food was from Rao's in East Harlem, and health care workers at White Plains Hospital were the lucky recipients.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — Scully Construction of White Plains joined the list of businesses and local residents supporting the front-line health care workers during the new coronavirus outbreak by donating 120 hot dinners to the on-duty staff at White Plains Hospital Tuesday. The dinners were prepared by the exclusive Rao’s Restaurant in East Harlem and transported to White Plains Hospital by a team from the construction company.

Jim Scully Jr., principal of Scully Construction, and his business partner Brian Keating are life-long residents of White Plains. They said many of the front-line health care workers at the hospital are also their friends and neighbors. Scully was born at the hospital, he said.

“We wanted to show our appreciation to all that the front-line health care workers are doing to keep the community safe and treating those who are stricken by this terrible virus,” Scully said.

The construction company recently fast-tracked and completed a pandemic-related project for White Plains Hospital, converting an empty lot into a parking area that could also serve as a potential additional staging area for incoming patients.
