Several Westchester School Districts Among Nation's Best, Report Says

The Edgemont Union Free School District is the nation’s best, according to a new report by Niche.com.

The website ranked the Top 100 districts based on various factors such as the quality of its Academics, Extracurriculars & Activities, Student Culture & Diversity, and Teachers.

According to Niche, it “ranks more than 100,000 public and private schools and districts based on dozens of statistics and 27 million opinions from 300,000 students and parents.”

Edgemont came out number one, and the Scarsdale Union Free School District was #5. The other Westchester districts listed in the Top 100 were:

• Rye City School District #8
• Chappaqua Central School District #10
• Blind Brook-Rye Union Free School District #17
• Bronxville Union Free School District #20
• Rye Neck Union Free School District #22
• Byram Hills Union Free School District #40
• Mamaroneck Union Free School District #42
• Briarcliff Manor Union Free School District #60
• Ardsley Union Free School District #63
• Irvington Union Free School District #81
