Shakespeare in the Park Wednesday and Thursday
"Much Ado About Nothing" will be performed in Turnure Park in White Plains.
The City of White Plains and ArtsWestchester once again have teamed up to host the White Plains Performing Arts Center’s free production of Shakespeare’s “Much Ado About Nothing.”
Performances will be on Wednesday, July 15, and Thursday, July 16, at Turnure Park. Show time is at 7:00 p.m. on both nights. This production is free and open to the public. In the case of rain, the production will be moved indoors to the White Plains Performing Arts Center, located at City Center, 11 City Place.
“We are so pleased to be able to continue to offer this, family-friendly event to our residents in conjunction with ArtsWestchester,” said Mayor Thomas Roach in a statement. “This performance of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing will continue our tradition of providing new and exciting programming to the residents of our City.”

About “Much Ado About Nothing” - A 90-minute telling of one of Shakespeare’s most beloved stories. Benedick loves Beatrice and Beatrice loves Benedict but neither will admit it. Claudio loves Hero and Hero loves Claudio but an evil plan and a rush to judgement could ruin everything. In this quick-paced production, the audience will become a part of the world of the play as they serve as guests at the party of Leonato and as members of “the watch.”
