Silent Protest Over Sale of Catholic School in White Plains

The sale of the school was announced in May.

The Sisters of the Divine Congregation announced the sale of the property in May. On their website, the sisters issued a letter stating that the sale of their White Plains home has been a painful decision adding that their community does not have the financial capacity to continue running the school.

Parents have stated to media outlets that the closing of the school will harm the Catholic education community in the county.

According to News 12, all buildings must be vacated by July 1, 2015.
