Southern Westchester Wine & Food Festival Hosted First Kickoff Party For Highly Anticipated Festival

The Southern Westchester Food & Wine Festival (SoWe) hosted their first kickoff event on August 21 at Mercedes-Benz of White Plains (50 Bank St.). The event was a VIP preview of the highly anticipated three day festival which will take place September 19-21 throughout Westchester County.

Attendees enjoyed an exclusive wine tasting and food pairing seminar. Wine Enthusiast’s Executive Editor, Susan Kostrzewa, led guests through the pairings with wines featured from Terlato. The evening included delicious bites from Alex Ghee, Executive Chef of RiverMarket, and also Chef Jay Lippin of Crabtree’s Kittle House (last year’s winner of “Best Entree” at the SoWe Food and Wine Festival).

SoWe beneficiaries, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and the Scarsdale Volunteer Ambulance Corps, were also in attendance to discuss and share their great causes with guests.
