Spring-Like But Mostly Cloudy around White Plains: Weekend Weather

You'll like the temperatures.

Looks as if it will stay spring-like for a little longer, delaying the classic New York mood swing of winter cold then straight to summer heat.

"A storm will approach from the southwest, and usher in clouds for our Saturday," said Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather. "It will be a close call, but rain showers are expected on Saturday, especially in the afternoon."

Not only that, but the weekend will be cooler than Friday.

"Rain and clouds this weekend could keep temperatures between 5 and 10 degrees below average from Boston to New York City, Washington, D.C., and Pittsburgh," said Brett Rathbun, AccuWeather.com Meteorologist. "Saturday is likely to be the cooler day of the weekend."

  • Today: Sunny, with a high near 73. Northwest wind 6 to 9 mph.
  • Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 54. South wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
  • Saturday: Rain likely, mainly after 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 65. Southeast wind 3 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
  • Saturday Night: A chance of rain. Cloudy, with a low around 50. North wind 9 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
  • Sunday: A chance of rain before noon, then a chance of showers after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 69. North wind 7 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
  • Sunday Night: A slight chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 53. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
