Stabbing at White Plains Stop & Shop, Arrest Made

A former employee was taken into custody.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — A former employee of the Stop & Shop on North Broadway in North White Plains is under arrested for stabbing a female employee.

Police said Joseph Joy stabbed the employee who was working at a cash register around 5 p.m. Saturday, according to News 12.

The victim’s injuries were not considered life-threatening, and Joy was charged with assault and criminal weapon possession, the Daily Voice said.

Joy, a White Plains resident, was said to have known the victim so the incident was not considered to be random.
