State Police: White Plains Man, 28, Accused of Using Someone Else's Drivers License

Kevin Salaverria was arrested Monday at his home.

White Plains resident Kevin Salaverria, 28, was arrested by state police Monday in connection with his alleged role in using someone else’s drivers license.

Salaverria is accused of ”using an unsuspecting person’s New York State Driver’s License during traffic stops in other states,” according to state police. The victim discovered the crime ”when he began receiving court notices for traffic violations from unfamiliar jurisdictions in which he had never traveled.”

State police charged Salaverria with Unlawful Possession of Personal Identification Information and Offering a False Instrument for Filing, both misdemeanors. Law enforcement in New Jersey and Ohio, which helped New York investigate the crime, may also charge Salaverria.
