Stop & Shop Celebrates Grand Reopening of the White Plains Store
Remodeled Store Features a Fresh New Look, Plus Expanded Produce and More Prepared Foods for Easy Meals on-the-Go
Stop & Shop, a neighborhood grocer for more than 100 years, today is unveiling a newly remodeled store in White Plains, New York, located at 154 Westchester Avenue.
The updates are centered on delivering fresh, healthy, and convenient options that make grocery shopping easier for customers. New features include an expanded produce section, hundreds more natural and organic products, plus a hot bar featuring entrees and sides made fresh in store daily to grab and go for meals and entertaining.
Highlights of the newly remodeled North White Plains store include the following:

- Expanded produce sections with more organics and locally grown produce selections
- More prepared foods including a new hot bar featuring pre-packaged lunch and dinner solutions for easy meals on the go.
- More grocery items customers want including hundreds of natural products, plus a larger assortment of pet, baby, health and beauty care items.
“We’re excited to share our newly remodeled store with the community,” said Harinder Singh, Store Manager of the White Plains Stop & Shop. “We’ve added more of what our local customers want – fresh produce, specialty cheeses, and seafood – plus lots of convenient meal solutions. We hope that our expanded offerings help to make our customers’ shopping experience easier and more convenient.”
To mark the special occasion, “Build Your Own Pizza” giveaways will be provided to customers during select hours from Friday, September 18 through Sunday, September 20, or while supplies last. Giveaways include pizza dough, shredded cheese, sauce and pizza cutters. Customers who receive the giveaways are encouraged to post their pizza creations using the hashtag #TheBestPizzaIsYourPizza.

With the unveiling of the newly renovated store, Stop & Shop remains committed to the community. To continue supporting the battle against food insecurity, the store will also be donating $1,000 in cash and an additional $500 in non-perishable items to the George Washington Elementary School Food Pantry. Stop & Shop formed the George Washington Elementary school food pantry this summer to provide donated food to students facing food insecurity due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This donation will further assist students and families in need throughout North White Plains.
