'Summer' Makes Its Return: Work Week Weather for White Plains

WHITE PLAINS, NY — We could break a record in the Hudson Valley this week, because the highest recorded temperature in Poughkeepsie for October 18 was 82 degrees F.

Does that tell you just how unseasonable the weather is going to be?

"So hop in the time machine, because we’re about to turn the clock back to late August… as we see highs on Monday more typical of early September… and highs on Tuesday and Wednesday that are what you might expect for late August!" says Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather.

And to think that we had a frost warning overnight Saturday in Putnam County.

Dry conditions continue as well. The next chance of rain may come during the second half of the week, but it's not much of one.

• Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 57.
• Friday: A 30 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 68.
