Sunny, Seasonal: White Plains' Work Week Weather

Summer put the hammer down on Memorial Day weekend.

But spring isn't over yet.

"Temperatures will gradually step down toward more seasonable numbers," said Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather. "Expect highs in the upper 70s through much of the week."

Also, the humidity will drop.

We can expect clouds toward the middle of the work week, and with that comes the possibility of precipitation.

Here's what the National Weather Service predicts for southern Westchester County:

• Today: Mostly sunny, with a high in the low-80s. Northwest wind 6 to 8 mph.
• Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 60. West wind around 6 mph becoming calm.
• Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high nearing 80. North wind 6 to 8 mph becoming southeast in the afternoon.
• Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low in the upper-50s. Northeast wind around 7 mph.
• Thursday: Partly sunny, with a high in the mid-70s. Northeast wind 6 to 11 mph.
• Thursday Night: A chance of showers, mainly after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low in the upper-50s. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
• Friday: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high in the low-70s. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
• Friday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 60. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
