Suspect Arrested in White Plains Shooting

The incident, which police say was an alleged robbery gone wrong, occurred on Oct. 14.

Reasean Orozco, 21, of Yonkers, was arrested by White Plains Police Tuesday in connection with an Oct. 14 shooting on South Lexington Avenue, according to authorities.

The 30-year-old victim survived, even though he had been shot in the face, reports The Journal News. The incident was described as an attempted robbery by Orozco gone wrong.

Orozco was charged with felony attempted murder 2nd degree and arraigned, but whether he posted bail or was remanded to Westchester County Jail was not immediately known.

“Our detectives did a great job,” White Plains Public Safety Commissioner David Chong told The Journal News. “I also want to commend residents of the neighborhood, who were very cooperative and provided crucial information that helped identify the suspect in this shooting.”
