Target Hiring 130,000+ Seasonal Workers For 2019
The retailer had set its holiday staffing goal at nearly 125,000 seasonal team members for its stores.

With fall officially beginning Monday in the Hudson Valley, Target and other retailers are beginning to plan for the Christmas shopping season. That means hiring seasonal employees.
The Minnesota-based national retailer said it plans to hire more than 130,000 seasonal team members across its stores and supply chain — including 10 stores in the mid- and lower-Hudson Valley — for the 2019 holiday season.
Target has set its holiday staffing goal at nearly 125,000 seasonal team members for its stores. The company is looking to hire about 8,000 people at its 39 distribution and fulfillment centers.

And for the fourth year in a row, all of the chain's 1,800 stores will host hiring events from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 11-13 and Nov. 2-3, meeting with thousands of prospective candidates for those five days.

Target stores in Westchester County are in Mount Kisco, White Plains and Mount Vernon. In Rockland County, they are in Spring Valley and Clarkstown. There are three stores in Orange County: Newburgh, Middletown and Monroe. In Dutchess and Ulster counties, the stores are located in Poughkeepsie and Kingston, respectively.
All positions start at $13 an hour or more. All hourly team members, including seasonal hires, enjoy such benefits as a 10 percent discount in store and online, a 20 percent wellness discount off fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables, Good & Gather Organic, C9 and Up & Up tobacco cessation products, the opportunity to earn holiday pay on Thanksgiving and Christmas and flexible schedules.
