Target To Offer Same-Day Delivery
The goal is to offer delivery to about half of Target stores by early next year.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — You may never have to leave your Hudson Valley home again if your local Target starts offering same-day home delivery. A recent press release from the Minneapolis-based retailer said it had acquired Shipt, an online same-day delivery platform. The purchase was for $550 million in cash.
Target, which has stores throughout the Hudson Valley, said it plans to “leverage its network of stores and Shipt’s proprietary technology platform and community of shoppers to quickly and efficiently bring same-day delivery to guests across the country,” according to the press release.
Target said the goal is to provide the service to customers at approximately half of its stores by early 2018.
