Teutul's Orange County Choppers Auctioning Off HQ

The reality TV star produced a couple seasons of "American Chopper."

The motorcycle company Orange County Choppers—which was part of a reality TV franchise—is auctioning off its world headquarters located in the Town of Newburgh.

The Times Herald-Record said the auction will take place from March 7 to March 9 and bidding will start at $900,000.

The 61,000-square-foot building was surrendered to GE Commercial Finance Business Corp. in 2011 to avoid foreclosure.

The company continued to lease about two-thirds of the property, the Herald-Record said.

Owner Paul Teutul Sr. told the newspaper his company signed a 10-year lease on the building and would continue operating from it.

He also said the sale of the building would have no affect on the business of building customized motorcycles.

Teutul Sr. produced “American Chopper: The Series” from 2009-2010. The series appeared on the Discovery Channel and TLC and featured Teutul and his family.
