Larry Chance And The Earls / Larry Cocco & The Chimes
Larry Chance & the Earls represent the music that helped define Rock ‘N’ Roll, the original doo wop era that put the street corner- society onto the national charts. Larry and company have placed many songs on the charts, including: “Life Is But a Dream”, “Never, I Believe”, and of course the classic “Remember Then”. They’ve recorded many other classics including: “Looking For My Baby”, “Eyes, Kissin‘” and “Cry, Cry, Cry”.
The Chimes , noted for their crisp harmonies, was formed in Brooklyn under the direction of lead singer Lenny Cocco in the mid-1950s. Their first single was a version of Tommy Dorsey‘s “Once in a While“. The follow-up single was “I’m In The Mood For Love”, a song from the 1930s. In 1962, they began recording as Lenny & the Chimes. In 1964, they released the single, “Two Times”. Their recordings of “Once In A While” and “I’m In The Mood For Love” graced the soundtracks of films like American Graffiti and remain high in the lists of all-time greatest hits.

SUBWAY SERIES DOO WOOP
A Great Line- Up of Doo-Wop Greats!John Kuse and The Excellents. In 1962, The original Bronx, NY group recorded their signature smash hit song “Coney Island Baby”, often referred to as ‘The National Anthem of Brooklyn’. Their unique vocal style,song selection and close harmonies are crowd pleasers in many popular venues across the country.
The Demensions. Lenny Dell and Howie Margolin originally created the group in the Bronx in the 50’s. They appeared on “American Bandstand”, “The Clay Cole Show”, “Palisades Park”,“WINS Radio. “Over the Rainbow” recorded in 1960, achieved #1 status and in Hawaii and Italy! They also released “My Foolish Heart”, another “Top 100’s”. Their dynamic sound remains a cornerstone for this musical genre, with recent appearances at Westbury Music Fair, Mohegan Sun, and many other venues, where standing ovations by loyal fans attest to the timeless magnetism and appreciation they command.
The Quotations a doo-wop band, primarily from James Madison High School in East Brooklyn, New York. The group released a new, up tempo style version of Jimmy Van Heusen’s classic “Imagination” in 1961 and reached Top-40 status. Other songs include, “This Love of Mine”, “We’ll Reach Heaven Together”, “See You in September” and “Summertime Goodbye”.
The Fireflies. The group formed in Long Island, back in 1959 with original member Paul Giacalone. Paul wrote the top-40 hit .”You Were Mine”, their biggest hit. It peaked at #21 on the Billboard Hot 100. Later singles included “I Can’t Say Goodbye”, “Marianne”, and “My Girl”. The group appeared on many radio and tv shows, including The Dick Clark Show, and performed at numerous concerts with some of the all time greats of show business. They continue to set off sparks of light that first inspired love and romance in the 50’s and 60’s.
