Prank Video for Horror Film Shot in White Plains Appliance Store (WATCH)

The video has had more than 1.5 million views in a 24-hour period.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — A prank promotion for a new horror movie — “Rings” — was filmed in a White Plains appliance store and has gone viral.

The owner of Prisco Appliance on Tarrytown Road said the video was shot more than a year ago and involved building a fake wall and inviting people via Craigslist to give feedback on a new television, WABC-TV said.

As of Tuesday, the video has been seen more than 1.5 million times since it was posted Monday.

According to imdb.com, “Rings” stars Vincent D’Onofrio and Laura Wiggins. It is about a woman who is the object of a curse that could kill her in seven days.
