Family Services of Westchester's Head Start program is getting ready to open its newest center, and volunteers are needed to help make this exciting new space accessible for the students and staff. Volunteers can assist throughout the week with classroom set-up, moving furniture, and organizing learning spaces for children and families. Every pair of hands makes a difference in creating a warm, welcoming space for the children of our community. No experience necessary—just a willingness to help! Perfect for volunteers who are 16+.
Date: 7/27-7/31 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and 12-3 p.m.; multiple opportunities

Westchester Disabled on the Move's Annual Meeting features festivities, music, food, giveaways, and a live demonstration of all-terrain trackchairs that help make park facilities more accessible to those with mobility issues. Volunteers can assist with greeting and escorting visitors, distributing food and beverages, and setting up decorations. Volunteers must be 18+.
Date: 7/30 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Caring and dependable volunteers are needed to serve as mentors for young adults ages 18-24 who are involved in the criminal justice system within the City of New Rochelle. Mentors will serve as supportive role models by sharing encouragement, life experiences, and practical guidance while helping young adults recognize their strengths and opportunities. Volunteers must be 25+.
