Westchester County Exec Campaign Cost $7M

Astorino had a Robert Mercer-funded super-PAC behind him.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — The two candidates in the Westchester County executive campaign spent more than $7 million. Incumbent Republican Robert Astorino outspent challenger and ultimate winner Democrat George Latimer.

While Latimer spent about $1.6 million, Astorino shelled out about $4.4 million of his own fundraising, the Journal News said.

Another $1 million from a Robert Mercer super-PAC was spent on behalf of Astorino.
