Westchester County Playgrounds To Reopen

Parents, guardians and children must follow the county's guidelines for usage of the playground equipment.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — Twelve playgrounds run by Westchester County Parks Department will reopen for the season Saturday. The parks will be open daily from 8 a.m. to dusk.

Westchester County Executive George Latimer said everyone's patience was appreciated as the county kept the playgrounds closed to ensure the safety of children.

"With the decline of active cases of COVID-19, we are excited to bring a sense of normalcy, recreation and fun back to the community," he said in a prepared statement.
