Westchester Cycle Club Holds Bike Rodeo for Children on June 5
Children 5-10 years old learn safety and bicycle handling skills at clinic

WHITE PLAINS, NY (May 25, 2016) – Remember the excitement you felt when you first learned to ride a bicycle? The Westchester Cycle club wants to instill the love of bicycling in young people with a free bike rodeo in White Plains.
The event will be held on Sunday, June 5th from 10 a.m. – 12 noon at Mamaroneck Avenue and Quarropas Street in White Plains.

Instructors from the League of American Bicyclists will show children how to safely ride while also helping them to improve their bike handling skills. The day’s events will include bike safety checks, slalom courses and slow races. Instructors will also show children power starting and stopping techniques, how to improve balance and much more.
Children must be from 5-10 years old and be able to ride a two-wheel bicycle. They should bring their own bicycles and wear a helmet.
