Westchester To Host Construction Career Fair

Officials hope residents will use the job fair to find new career opportunities.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — Westchester County will be hosting a Construction Career Fair.

Among the job opportunities are those for laborers, carpenters, plumbers, painters, drivers, electricians, sheet rockers, building maintenance, security and masonry.

The job fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 25 at the NY Power Authority, 123 Main St. in White Plains.

County Executive George Latimer said he hopes residents will use the job fair to find new career opportunities.

"As existing properties embark on capital improvements and new developments break ground in Westchester, there are more jobs to be filled in the construction industry," he said.

Parking for the career fair is available in the Hamilton Main Garage, 365 Hamilton Ave., or at the Galleria Mall.

Attendees are asked to enter the NY Power Authority through the Hamilton Avenue entrance and sign in at the security desk.

A picture ID is required and attendees are also asked to wear a mask.
