Westchester Offers Extended Hours To Obtain Absentee Ballots

The extended hours include two Saturdays.

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — If you know you will not be in your voting district on a given Election Day, you may vote by absentee ballot. Voters who are qualified to vote by absentee ballot must first apply for the absentee ballot, and the request is only valid for the calendar year of that particular request.

You may vote by absentee ballot if you will be:

  • Unavoidably absent from your county on Election Day
  • Unable to appear at the polls due to illness or disability
  • A patient in a veteran’s administration hospital
  • Detained in jail awaiting grand jury action or confined in prison after conviction of an offense other than a felony.

This is for the purpose of obtaining an absentee ballot/application. Our office and mailing address is: Westchester County Board of Elections, 25 Quarropas St., White Plains, NY 10601.

  • Thursday, Oct. 25, until 8 p.m.
  • Saturday, Oct. 27, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Oct. 30, until 8 p.m.
  • Thursday, Nov. 1, until 8 p.m.
  • Saturday, Nov. 3, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
