Westchester Seeking Volunteers To Help At Vaccine Clinics
Volunteer New York! will be recruiting and training people to assist with day-to-day operations at the Westchester County Center.
WHITE PLAINS, NY — The county is looking for volunteers to help out at the county-run vaccine clinic.
County Executive George Latimer said Friday Westchester is partnering with Volunteer New York! to assist in recruiting and training volunteers for the County Center's vaccine clinic.
He said that, as more people continue to get vaccinated and boosted, the county wants to make it easier for them to navigate through the process with trained volunteers.

"Westchester County has always had a strong commitment to volunteerism," Latimer said. "We know their purpose and presence will be embraced, and we thank them for stepping up to help keep our community safe."
Volunteer New York! is looking for eligible volunteers 18 and older who are willing to work in three- to four-hour shifts.

The volunteers will be assisting with day-to-day operation at the clinic — from aiding with traffic flow, check-in, appointment making, paperwork and taking temperatures of incoming guests. Bilingual volunteers are also being sought to help facilitate the needs of non-native English language speakers.
Westchester will partner with Volunteer New York! until April 24 and will provide all recruits with personal protection equipment. All volunteers must be vaccinated and will be required to show proof of vaccination.
