What RED Day Means to Our Keller Wiiliams Office and Our Community
RED Day is just another example of our Team commitment to our White Plains community.
Keller Williams introduced RED Day in 2009 as a way to give back and have a positive impact on communities. The second Thursday of May is now known as RED Day, which stands for Renew, Energize and Donate. This annual day of service was designed for Keller Williams Agents to give back to the community by rebuilding homes, refurbishing local parks, giving to local food shelters, hosting blood drives, beautifying the streets, and so much more.
This year was another banner year for our office's commitment to RED Day. Using our contacts in the local community, White Plains Hospital identified families with specific needs and we split into teams to help them out. One team helped a young girl battling leukemia by raising money and taking her and her siblings shopping for home essentials and summer clothing. Then we set up a computer donated by Reppert Factor and some furniture donated by our agents. Another team worked to clean, paint and brighten up a home for a frail, elderly lady who had no family to help her. One team repaired and landscaped a home for a cancer patient who was hospitalized during the work. After the event, the hospital called and asked us to go back and clean the inside of the house for her return home.
RED Day is just another example of our commitment to our community. We are grateful to work for a company that instills this culture and actually makes a difference in our lives as well as the local communities.
