White Plains Firefighter Charged with DWI in Crash that Killed Port Chester Woman

The crash occurred at the intersection of Martine and South Lexington avenues at about 4:30 a.m.

A 47-year-old Port Chester woman was killed, and her husband seriously injured, in an early morning accident Monday in White Plains where an off-duty firefighter was driving the wrong way, according to a report in The Journal News.

The identities of those involved have not yet been released, but the White Plains firefighter reportedly had a BAC of .145, which is above the legal limit, and has been charged with driving while intoxicated.
