White Plains Gun Buyback Will Offer Up To $300 Per Gun
Saturday's event at Union Baptist Church will accept unloaded, apparently operable firearms in exchange for gift cards.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — The first gun buyback event of Westchester County District Attorney Susan Cacace's administration will take place on Saturday.
The gun buyback event is scheduled for March 28, at Union Baptist Church in White Plains, where participants may surrender firearms in exchange for gift cards worth up to $300. The event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church, located at 31 Manhattan Avenue.
The Westchester County District Attorney's Office announced the program in partnership with the Town of Greenburgh Police Department, the White Plains Department of Public Safety, the Union Baptist Church, and the NAACP WP Greenburgh Branch.

The district attorney's office described the buyback as "this crucial public safety initiative."
Participants may surrender their firearms "no questions asked." Gift cards will be offered for firearms worth up to $300. Firearms "must be in apparently operable condition and must be unloaded at the time of surrender."
