White Plains High School Named among Best in New York

The school was rated highly by U.S. News and World Report.

White Plains Senior High School is rated the 134th best in New York, according to the latest ranking from U.S. News and World Report.

The school’s top 135 rating earned a silver award from the publication, which also noted that the AP participation rate is 41 percent at the school. White Plains’ national rank is 1,280th, and its STEM rank was not listed.

Total enrollment for the school is 2,179 and there is a 14:1 student-to-teacher ratio.

Based on test scores, 90 percent of students are proficient in English and 76 percent are proficient in mathematics.
