White Plains Holds Workshop On Comprehensive Plan Update

A draft vision statement will be presented and additional feedback will be gathered.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — The city of White Plains has set its first public workshop for its comprehensive plan update process.

The One White Plains Opening Public Workshop will take place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18 at the White Plains Performing Arts Center.

City officials said the launch of One White Plains was announced in June.

Since the process to update the comprehensive plan was announced, the city, along with its consultants, has begun Phase I, called "Imagine White Plains."

The first phase has focused on initial community engagement, including a listening tour, a visioning survey that is still open for public response and research and review of prior planning studies in the city.

The workshop will wrap up Phase I by presenting the draft vision statement and planning goals and gathering additional public feedback at interactive open house stations.
