White Plains Hospital Names Victoria Bruni to its Board of Directors
New board member brings years of experience in finance, management, and hospital board leadership
White Plains Hospital has named Victoria Bruni, of White Plains, as the newest member of its Board of Directors. Bruni currently serves as Executive Vice President of a New York City Coop Tenants’ Association, and is also a member of the M&T Bank Advisory Board.
“Victoria brings with her a wealth of knowledge in finance and management, as well as prior hospital board leadership experience,” said Larry Smith, Chairman of the White Plains Hospital Board of Directors. “She is a welcome addition to the White Plains Hospital family.”
Bruni served for eight years as a Trustee of the Board of the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, New Jersey before moving to White Plains in 2012. From 1996-2015 Bruni was a Director of the Hudson City Bancorp, a $40 billion dollar public company headquartered in Paramus, New Jersey. In that role, Bruni served on various board committees including Compensation and Human Resources, Risk Management, and Finance and Audit.

From 1993 - 2006, Bruni worked as Vice President for Administration and Finance at Ramapo College in Mahwah, New Jersey. In that position she was responsible for human resources, computer technology and systems, college facilities, security and capital construction, and finance including audit and budgets—with an operating budget of $100 million—and capital budgets in excess of $130 million.
Bruni began her business career in 1964 as an economist for Bell Telephone Company in Newark, New Jersey. Before retiring early in 1993, Bruni had advanced in the company through various managerial and finance positions including Division Accounting Manager, General Manager, Assistant Comptroller, and Treasurer.

Bruni holds a degree of Juris Doctor, with honors, from Seton Hall University School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Smith College.
