White Plains Lawyers Volunteer at Summer Camp
Carnival Day activities were enjoyed by more than 90 children.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — Two White Plains law firms took a day off from their clients recently to help out in the community.
The disability and personal injury law offices of Markhoff & Mittman P.C. and David B. Lever & Associates were closed on the afternoon of Thursday, July 21 so that staff could volunteer at Lifting Up Westchester’s Brighter Futures Summer Camp for homeless and at-risk children, according to information from a spokeswoman.
Thirty-five volunteers from the two law offices helped at the camp’s annual Carnival Day, painting faces, running game booths, handing out prizes and serving ice cream.

The carnival, a summer highlight for the 91 campers who range in age from 5 to 13, was held at the Ridgeway Elementary School in White Plains.
Brian Mittman, managing partner of Markhoff & Mittman said, “Enabling people to lead fulfilling lives is the core purpose of what we do on a day-to-day basis, and being able to allow homeless and at-risk children a day to just be kids and enjoy themselves resonates deeply with who we are and brings smiles to everyone involved.”
