White Plains Meals On Wheels Seeking Volunteers
The organization needs people to help deliver meals to 70 or 80 clients five or six days a week.
WHITE PLAINS, NY — If you are looking for ways to help make a difference, especially during the holiday season, Meals on Wheels of White Plains is seeking volunteers.
According to a spokesman for the organization, a number of its senior volunteers have left, creating something of a crisis.
Meals on Wheels of White Plains serves residents who are unable to shop and cook for themselves.

The organization brings fresh hot and cold meals for each of five or six days to 70 or 80 clients in White Plains.
Volunteers meet at White Plains High School at 11 a.m., pick up the meals and do one of six routes covering all parts of the city. The route can take about an hour and a half, which is somewhat longer than pre-coronavirus delivery.
