White Plains Schedules Fire Fighter Exam

While the exam is open to all Westchester, preference will be given to White Plains residents.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — The City of White Plains has scheduled a Fire Fighter Civil Service Exam.

Open to Westchester County residents, the exam will give preference in appointment to White Plains residents, the mayor’s office said.

The exam will be held March 18, 2017.

The salary range, which is subject to change, is $58,329 to $91,433.

If interested, applicants must submit an application by no later than Thursday, October 27, 2016, at 5 p.m.

Completed applications should be submitted in person to one of the above locations or mailed to the City of White Plains Personnel Department.

Free training will be offered for both the written and physical agility portions of the exam. The date and location of the training will be sent to approved applicants.
