White Plains School District Hires New Assistant Superintendent of Pupil Personnel Services
Deborah Augarten comes to White Plains from the Hastings-on-Hudson School District
The White Plains School District has named Deborah Augarten as its new Assistant Superintendent of Pupil Personnel Services, according to an announcement from Augarten’s former district Hastings-on-Hudson.
Augarten was with the Hastings district for seven years and recently resigned as its Director of Special Education to take the post in White Plains, according to Hastings School Superintendent Roy Montesano.
The White Plains position appears to be a new one, as such a title is not currently listed on the school system’s organizational chart.

In Hastings, Augarten was replaced by Laurie Bauer on an interim basis.
