White Plains' ‘Unsettled’ Work Week Weather Forecast

WHITE PLAINS, NY — Easter Sunday’s beautiful weather will continue through Tuesday, and then it’s back to rain on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Temps also will get cooler as the week progresses.

Monday will be slightly cooler than Sunday; however, it will still be some 10 to 15 degrees above normal, the National Weather Service said.

Then the 70s will become a distant memory as high temps will only be in the mid 50s to low 60s by the end of the week. The Hudson Valley may even see thunderstorms on Thursday and Friday.

"Some unsettled weather is heading our way for mid week… but we should get things off on the right foot!" said Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather.

The National Weather Service provided this forecast for southern Westchester:

• Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 71. Northwest wind 14 to 16 mph.
• Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 42. Northwest wind 9 to 11 mph.
• Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 62. North wind 5 to 10 mph.
• Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 40. Southeast wind 3 to 8 mph.
• Wednesday: A 20 percent chance of light rain after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 56. Southeast wind 5 to 13 mph.
• Wednesday Night: A chance of light rain before midnight, then rain likely, mainly after 4am. Cloudy, with a steady temperature around 52. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
• Thursday: Rain likely. Cloudy, with a high near 65. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
• Thursday Night: Rain likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Cloudy, with a low around 52. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
• Friday: A chance of rain and thunderstorms before noon, then a chance of showers after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 60. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
• Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 41.
