White Plains Weather: Friday's Snow Ends Midday, Potential Nor'easter Looms Next Week

WHITE PLAINS, NY — Friday’s snow was a little slow in materializing, but it did finally arrive. And before you know it, it will be gone. Meanwhile all eyes turn toward Tuesday into Wednesday where a significant nor’easter may lead to a serious snow accumulation.
But there is a weekend in between — and it's going to be cold, forecasters say. As in, below freezing.

- Today: Snow, mainly before noon, then scattered snow showers after 3pm. High near 35. Wind chill values between 20 and 25. Northwest wind 7 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
- Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 14. Wind chill values between zero and 10. Northwest wind 16 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph.
- Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 28. Wind chill values between zero and 10. Blustery, with a northwest wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
- Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 13. Wind chill values between zero and 10. Northwest wind 13 to 17 mph.
- Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 28. Northwest wind 11 to 16 mph.
- Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 13.
The NWS has already issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for next week.
But, how quickly the storm strengthens and where it tracks will determine how much snow, wind and coastal flooding we'll get, said Alex Sosnowski, AccuWeather senior meteorologist.
