White Plains Weather: Latest Details on Next Chance for Snow

Work week: wintertime temps return; roads could be slick Tuesday in White Plains.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — The biggest weather change for the end of January and beginning of February in the Hudson Valley is that temps will feel colder as daytime highs will leave the 40s and drop into the low- to mid-30s.

Still, it isn't really cold for midwinter. "We’re two days away from the end of January, and we are roughly 7 degrees above average for the month," said Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather.

As of right now there is only one chance for some snow in the five-day forecast. The Alberta Clipper headed our way could bring a dusting to 2 inches to the region Tuesday.

"We’ll see periods of light to moderate snow last into the mid-afternoon," Potter said. "The snow should taper off to lighter snow showers toward the evening commute, but it seems like periods of snow showers could continue well into the evening, tapering off entirely before midnight."
