Here's the forecast for the work week around White Plains and Valhalla.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — A little snowstorm Monday brought a bit of early morning snow to many communities in the lower Hudson Valley.
"This is a minor winter event… but the first few of the season always generate the biggest headaches, as many of us re-learn how to handle the winter weather," said Alex Marra of Hudson Valley Weather.

"We have an extremely active period of weather ahead of us, there is an ever increasing threat of multiple winter storms over the next 7-10 days," he said.

- Today: Partly sunny, with a high near 47. Southwest wind 7 to 11 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon.
- Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 32. Northwest wind around 9 mph.
- Tuesday: A 30 percent chance of rain, mainly after 5pm. Increasing clouds, with a high near 42. Wind chill values between 30 and 40. North wind 5 to 7 mph becoming east in the afternoon.
- Tuesday Night: Rain, mainly after 7pm. Steady temperature around 40. Northeast wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
- Wednesday: A chance of rain before 1pm, then a slight chance of light rain after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 46. Northeast wind 5 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
