White Plains Women's Club Winter Tea Proceeds to Benefit Walk-in Legal Clinic
The clinic will provide free legal services to victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and elder abuse.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — The Woman's Club of White Plains held its annual Winter Tea Sunday, Jan. 29.
All proceeds from the event will be going to the Pace Women's Justice Center’s new walk-in legal clinic.
The clinic, opening this fall, will be the only one of its kind in Westchester County and will provide free legal services to victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and elder abuse, organizers said.

It will be an innovative and model program that will remove several of the obstacles that victims face when coming forward: services will be free, available without an appointment and physically accessible, and will connect clients with the full spectrum of services that they may need — whether it be ongoing legal services or social services through our community partners.
The mission of the Woman's Club of White Plains is specifically devoted to the promotion of civic and educational programs in the community, organizers said. The money raised will be earmarked explicitly for tackling elder abuse.
