Whiz Kid's Accomplishment: Recipient of the Azriel and Isaiah Memorial Scholarship.

Coming to MVP Basketball Camp means the world Troy.

“I have worked really hard and I hope to never let my teammates down," he said. "This camp has helped me learn new basketball skills and make new friends." 

Troy was selected based upon an essay he wrote on leadership, his middle school report card and two letters of recommendation. 

His teacher middle school teacher, Mr. Glen Setterstrom said, “He has grown tremendously over the years that I have known him. It was a difficult road for Troy but he has persevered. Troy is a self-starter and is motivated to achieve.”

The commissioner for the Boys 13 & Up Division at MVP Camp, Dave Vandiver said, “He is a great teammate and in just the past few weeks I have seen him mature. He has mastered self-control, something that takes several athletes years to overcome.” 

MVP Basketball Camp is a charitable organization--254 campers attended this summer on scholarship awards, but only Troy received all weeks on a full scholarship.
