Woman Sideswipes State Police Car, Injures Trooper
Police said the woman who caused the accident was intoxicated.

A White Plains resident was arrested Thursday night after sideswiping a State Police car and injuring a trooper.
Police were issuing a traffic citation in Greenburgh to the driver of a 2004 Honda Accord on I-287 at Exit 6 on the right shoulder around 10:15 p.m.
Lisa J. Buerle, 52, was intoxicated, police said, when she was driving her 2015 Honda Accord and sideswiped the troop car and then struck the 2004 Honda.

Buerle was taken to the Tarrytown barracks for processing. Her blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.15 percent.
She was charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated and multiple vehicle and traffic violations.

Buerle was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets to return to the Town of Greenburgh Court June 22, 2016.
Police said Greenburgh Ambulance responded and attended to both drivers and the trooper.
Buerle and the other driver were not injured. The trooper sustained an arm and shoulder injury, and was treated and released.
