Woman's Club Junior Teens Show Their Love
Valentine's Cards made for resident of Schnurmacher Nursing Home
As part of the Woman’s Club of White Plains 100 Acts of Kindness campaign, the Teen section met on Thurday February 11 to share their love. The group made Valentine’s Day cards for residents of the Schnurmacher Nursing Home in White Plains. The cards will be distributed on Valentine’s Day, February 14th.
The Woman’s Club of White Plains, now celebrating its 100th anniversary, has been a mainstay of the community since 1916. The Club provides financial support to numerous non-profit groups and its members volunteer thousands of hours every year. It also maintains the CV Rich Mansion, its beautiful historic home in White Plains. The Woman’s Club plays a vital and supportive role to women by offering a fellowship unlike any other. The Teen group ( girls ages 13-18) meets once a month on a Thursday for programs of camaraderie, philanthropy and enrichment.
