
The Westchester Women’s Bar Association (“WWBA”), a chapter of the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York (“WBASNY”), installed as its 21st President, Lisa M. Bluestein, Esq., along with a new panel of executive officers at WWBA’s annual dinner held on June 12, 2013, at the Mamaroneck Beach & Yacht Club. Lisa stated, “I am honored to be leading an organization with a rich history of promoting justice for all, advancing the social, economic and legal status of women in society, as well as fostering and expanding the status of women attorneys in the legal profession.”
Lisa is the founding member of Law Offices of Lisa M. Bluestein, LLC of White Plains, New York, which will be celebrating its tenth anniversary this year. She focuses her practice in the areas of commercial litigation, construction law and corporate law. Lisa is admitted to practice in the states of New York and Connecticut, as well as the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Court of International Trade, and the U.S. District Courts of Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Lisa is a graduate of Cornell University and Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.

In addition to all her activities with the WWBA, Lisa has served in various capacities at WBASNY, recently chairing its Press and Public Relations Committee. She has moderated and lectured at programs and continuing education classes for the WWBA on construction law, corporate law, collection law and practice management issues. Lisa serves as a volunteer arbitrator for the Attorney-Client Dispute Resolution Program for the Ninth Judicial District, and is also an active member of the New York City Bar Association and New York State Bar Association.

With more than 650 male and female members, the WWBA is one of the largest chapters of the WBASNY. Under the leadership of its new President, Lisa M. Bluestein, Esq., and its new executive officers Robin D. Carton, Esq. (Vice President), Lucia Chiocchio, Esq. (Vice President), Ann M. McNulty, Esq. (Vice President), Joelle M. Burton, Esq. (Treasurer), Lisa Denig, Esq. (Recording Secretary) and Jennifer L. Gray, Esq. (Corresponding Secretary), the WWBA will continue its mission of promoting justice for all regardless of gender, advancing the status of women in the legal profession, and advocating for the rights of women and children.
