BROOKLYN, NY — Gotham Burger Social Club will open its second storefront and first permanent Brooklyn location at 216 Grand St. in Williamsburg next week.

The 1,500-square-foot restaurant, opening on Sept. 23, will introduce the burger concept's first full bar and cocktail program, allowing guests to pair its Gotham Smash with cocktails, wine and local beer.

Founded by Mike Puma in 2013 as a social club for burger enthusiasts, Gotham Burger Social Club began with pop-ups before opening its first permanent restaurant on the Lower East Side in 2024.

The Williamsburg location will continue the concept's focus on Oklahoma-style fried onion burgers and an open-kitchen format.

"Brooklyn felt like a natural next step for us," Founder Mike Puma said. "As a lifelong New Yorker, I've always loved the energy. Williamsburg has that neighborhood feel and sense of community that has been such a big part of Gotham from the beginning. We've been lucky to build an incredible group of regulars on the Lower East Side, and I'm excited to bring Gotham to another neighborhood and build that same kind of connection here."

The restaurant will feature a mid-century modern-meets-Western design with walnut paneling, brass accents, leather seating and nostalgic Americana, including nods to Southern and country icons such as Dolly Parton. The space will seat 57 guests, including 10 at the bar.

Cocktails will include classics such as the Manhattan, Old Fashioned and Dark 'N' Stormy, along with signatures such as The Puma, a spicy margarita made with fresh jalapeño and topped with ginger beer.

Weekend offerings will include the Gotham Bloody, while the food menu will feature favorites including the Chopped Cheese Taco, Gotham Dog, Loaded Tots, Veg'n-Out Smash, fries, onion rings and Frickles.

The restaurant will be open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday through Sunday until midnight.
