The transportation committee of Community Board 7 is meeting tonight, May 3, at 6:30pm, and on the agenda is a new parking plan from the Department of Transportation for 11th Avenue between 19th Street and Prospect Park Southwest. The idea, shown above, is to install back-in parking spaces at a 60-degree angle along that stretch. It seems like it will add more parking spaces--though it's hard to tell, since it will eliminate parking on one side of the street in some places--which is sure to please some drivers, but could angled parking add more chaos to an already busy stretch? Or will this help slow down cars, especially around PS 154? If you have an opinion, bring it to the meeting tonight.
