Members of the E. 4th Street Community Garden between Caton and Fort Hamilton Parkway are ecstatic over its new tool shed, an event spearheaded by Jules Koetsch. The shed arrived on August 3 and has been assembled, primed, and painted in record time thanks to the members.
The NYC Parks Dept. is also there making upgrades and installing a long promised water hook-up so the garden will no longer have to rely on rain barrels and water supplied by neighbors.
Garden is open to the public from 9am until 1pm Saturdays; 2pm Sundays, and Wednesdays from 4 to 6pm.
