In Mayor Bloomberg's April, 2005 announcement of the Culver El project, he said a 5,000 sq ft lot along the Culver El would be sold to Hatzolah of Boro Park to build a privately funded "15,000 sq. ft. building to contain a street-level parking garage for its ambulances, emergency training facilities, and administrative offices. "
That was 5 years ago. No mention of it at the CB 12 meeting when NYC Planning Dept.'s zoning changes and land transfer for Culver El were approved, so I went to find it. This could be it: on the southwest corner of 14th Ave. and 37th just outside the Culver El project's boundaries. Not much progress, but the sign suggests it's coming.
