A Space for Toys?

A Space for Toys?

Louise Simon of Windsor Terrace already had a toy store on 7th Avenue in Park Slope, but when she noticed that a lot of her customers were moving to Ditmas Park, she knew there was a toy void in the area that she could fill. In a profile in Brooklyn Today, she admits that her Cortelyou Road Toy Space favors musical instruments and art supplies over video games:

“We have a lot of different kinds of like museum quality toys and wooden toys, educational toys that you don’t find everywhere so I think people think it’s kind of a breath of fresh air. They come in and buy something new that you don’t see advertised all over,” Simon said.

Until she notices a void on say, Prospect Avenue, you can stop by either of the two locations, which are still close by:

426 7th Avenue
(between 14th and 15th Streets)
Monday-Saturday 10:30-6:30
Sunday 10:30-5

1410 Cortelyou Road
(between Rugby + Marlborough)
Monday - Closed
Tuesday-Friday 11-7
Saturday 10:30-6:30
Sunday 10:30-5
