A Tree Falls in Brooklyn

And since it happens on E9th street, it stays fallen.

This large tree branch fell four weeks ago, 311 was notified, and ... well, we're still walking in the street to get around it. A neighbor emails the image and details:

Remember that raging thunderstorm that caused destruction around the city?  A very large branch fell on East 9th st and damaged a fence and blocked the side walk.  After 10 days of no action I called 311.  They said they would let the Parks Department know about it.  Well, as of 10/25/2010 the huge branch still lies there blocking the sidewalk, forcing everyone into the street creating an unsafe condition.  It is right across the street from the Yeshiva and in front of 426 East 9th St.

What's taking so long?
